Ladysmith Ruritan Club and Supervisor Jeff Black: Wiffle Ball Tourny!

The Ladysmith Ruritan Club will be having a Wiffle Ball Tournament and fundraiser on September 29th and 30th. On Friday the 29th, at 7 pm, there will be the much beloved Home Run Derby, followed by the Wiffle Ball Tournament at 9 am Saturday morning. If you are interested in bringing your All-Star Wiffle Ball team to compete, teams consist of 3 to 5 players, 16 years or older. “Team Entry Fee is $50 if registered on or before September 20th (postmarked). Team Entry Fee will increase to $75 if registered after September 20th” (LRC).

Rumor has it that Supervisor Jeff Black would like everyone to wear their Orioles, Blue Jays, Devil Rays, and Red Sox gear to this event. Can’t imagine who would start such a rumor, but I felt it necessary to include here.

Guys, these Ruritan Club events are always a blast and they do raise money for a good cause. Ruritan Clubs have served as a locally-focused volunteer organization for generations. Caroline County is blessed with so many citizens who do so much for our community and volunteerism is a Caroline County tradition. So let’s keep with tradition, keep focusing on making Caroline County a great place to live, and get out to 19366 Chilesburg Road – Beaverdam, VA on September 29th and 30th!

Also, it is important to remember that Supervisor Jeff Black is dying to play in this thing, but he can’t because he’s the Master of Ceremonies. Taunting isn’t entirely discouraged.
